The new Redmi Note 7 is a huge success in terms of sales these days. The new Smartphone was first released in January and made its first Flash Sales two weeks ago.
ΤXiaomi sub-brand had 100.000 units for sale in each Flash Sale, and these were disappearing within a few minutes . The last Flash Sale took place this morning, and another batch of devices ran out, this time in 10 minutes and 56 seconds, the company boasted.
The Redmi Note 7 is the first device to introduce Redmi since it became a standalone Brand Name. The phone packs the latest Snapdragon 660 chipset, Full HD + 6,3 ”screen and 48 MP camera with Samsung ISOCELL sensor. It runs MIUI 10, based on Android Pie and comes with Quick Charge 4 support.
The 3/32 GB variant is priced at CNY999 ($ 150), while the more powerful 6/64 GB version is priced at CNY1,399 ($ 210), which is much cheaper than any other smartphone with similar market specifications.
The features and price of the device may have been crucial to sales, but its popularity has grown even more, following a series of video promotions in which the company's fans personally tested the device's durability.
Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, posted a series of videos on Weibo, in which he "tortured" the device in many ways, with a good dose of humor.
The Redmi Note 7 is not yet available in the global market, but that should change soon, as the phone will arrive in India soon, and it is now a matter of time before we officially see it in Europe as well.
