AMD Ryzen C7: The new SoC that aspires to revolutionize the world of Smartphones

AMD is preparing a SoC specifically for smartphones and the information so far shows something impressive.

ΣAccording to a leak that has been circulating on the internet for the last few hours, AMD is preparing a powerful SoC with a low TDP, especially for the mobile market, that of smartphones. Although the source is controversial, similar information has been reported in the past, but more about the advent of the RDNA GPU architecture, where scale down would be an easy process for AMD.

The Ryzen C7 chip that appeared incorporates its technology ARM in the cores such as two Cortex A78 at 2.6GHz, two high end Cortex X1 at 3GHz and four mid-range Cortex A55 clocked at 2GHz, a combination that completes the CPU part of the processor. The GPU of the unit mentioned is RDNA 2 Mobile, consisting of 4 custom compute units clocked at 700MHz where it promises performance 45% higher than the existing high end implementation, Adreno 650 suggesting that the SoC will probably pique the interest of premium smartphone manufacturers , such as Samsung which is already working with AMD to develop a similar product for its smartphone line.

So, the Ryzen C7 may be the chip that will frame Samsung smartphones that will be released in the coming months.
