The wonderful Smartwatch Amazfit GTR of Huami - Xiaomi is getting even better as after yesterday's upgrade officially released by Xiaomi, it now has the right Fonts needed for the illustration of Greek characters.
ΜWith the addition of the new Fonts, the strange characters and question marks disappeared when an incoming message appeared in Greek, and everything is now correct and even with the support of the tones.
Of course, the Greek language has not yet been added to the Smartwatch menus, but we are sure that we will soon see them appear in some of the next upgrades.
You to receive the upgrade to the new Firmware V.1.3.4.19, all you have to do is have the original versions of the applications Amazfit ή We Fit Xiaomi to connect to Xiaomi Servers and download the upgrade files to your Smartwatch.
CAUTION ! : This has been confirmed so far in the Global Version of the Amazfit GTR 47mm
UPDATE - Instructions
Well, because yesterday due to my name day I could not do much, today I have the files that have been Downloaded from the watch via Amazfit.
1. Firmware => falconw_201910171002_1.3.4.19_falconw.fw - Alternatively from our Server HERE
2. Resources => falconw_201910171002_v42_res.pack.bin - Alternatively from our Server HERE
3. Font V11 => falconw_201910171002_11_font.bin - Alternatively from our Server HERE
If you download the files from our Server, simply delete the .zip extension from the name of the file you just downloaded.
The most important of all is the 3rd (Font) which contains the Fonts you need to have Greek.
Maybe many who have upgraded to the new Firmware have not upgraded to Font 11 but have been left with the general Font 9 and therefore do not have Greek characters.
You can switch to Font with the application Notify & Fitness for Amazfit as we do so far with the Mi Band 4, as the process is essentially identical and the only thing that changes is the connected device and the files used.
In order for it to work properly, you must have all the corresponding Firmware - Resources and Font files on your watch.
If someone already has the files in their Firmware and Resources watch just by Notify & Fitness for Amazfit makes Flash only the 3rd which is of Fonts.
If one has the Amazfit GTR 47mm Global Version and has older Version Firmware and Resources then one should go through them one by one in the order we have registered them.
That is, first his file Firmware> falconw_201910171002_1.3.4.19_falconw.fw
After the archive of Resources> falconw_201910171002_v42_res.pack.bin
And finally the archive of Font> falconw_201910171002_11_font.bin
When you do all this Flash, then you reboot your watch.

We repeat that all the above files are for the Amazfit GTR 47mm and for no other variant, and do not try to Flash some of the files if you do not have the same watch.

Well, everything is upgraded except Font to 11. I downloaded the file and through Notify & Fitness I passed your file to Font 11 and it installed correctly. The clock, however, for some reason all it tells me is that there is an update available through Amazfit for Fonts (it does not let me use it if I do not update) which updates my Font back to 9…. Any suggestions?

Try to go through all 3 files manually, in the order it says in the article, although this does not work for you, enter the forum to talk to other owners of the device who have already done the upgrade to help you 🙂

For a few weeks now, I also own an Amazfit GTR 47mm (Global Version).
I saw the news today and I was surprised it is true for two reasons. 1st because I had already passed the last upgrade but did not see a difference and 2nd because just 2 days ago I received an answer from Huami that they have assigned this job to some people but it is still unknown when the problem will be fixed… !!!
In the meantime I have the official Amazfit application (basically I only have it for GTR updates) which is constantly connected to the watch, as well as the higher class and much more useful Notify & Fitness, (which in fact I am slowly intending to translate completely, since its Greek has many shortcomings and errors).
Also, I always define Greece as a region and Greek as a language.
The problem, however, remains, as the other children report…?
Obviously the solution is in the 3 files he says he received from Miui_Art…

There are two different versions of the Global GTR and apparently they follow a different upgrade schedule.
It is a bit risky to make Flash files from another Firmware and the best thing to do if you do not want your watch to be endangered, is to wait for the official upgrade that will have the necessary files to have Greek Fonts.
Besides, we believe that it is a matter of a few days to follow new upgrades that will bring a 100% Greek menu to the watch beyond the Fonts.
Anyway, we are preparing test and Resources files with a Greek menu in case Xiaomi is too late to do so.
