5G smartphones from Huawei, Xiaomi and Oppo have been released in Switzerland!

For the Swiss carrier Sunrise, the 5G becomes a reality from today Thursday 2 May.

Η Sunrise announced it will launch three 5G smartphones from three different Chinese phone makers starting this week. Its sales Oppo reno xnumxg started yesterday, May 1, while the Mate 20 X 5G and Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G released today Thursday 2 May.

Oppo unveiled it earlier this month in Zurich Reno 10X zoom and Reno , in the framework of the cooperation with Swisscom. Swisscom is the first company to launch the 5G version of Reno, which comes with 256GB of storage, a 10X zoom camera and 8GB of RAM. There is also a large 4.065 mAh battery that powers everything.

The above device is priced at CHF999 ($ 980) and will be available in both online stores and physical stores.

Next is the Huawei Mate 20 X 5G. This is the largest (literally) Mate 20 series Smartphones that first launched last October in London. The device with support for 5G will be released by Sunrise. It has a smaller one battery at 4200 mAh compared to the normal which is at 5.000 mAh, but it compensates, having a faster Super Charge at 40W. The device is priced at 997 Swiss francs or 978 dollars.

Xiaomi has announced for the first time the 5G Mi Mix 3 on February during the MWC conference in Barcelona. It has the same features as the simple version first announced last October, but also has an updated version of the Snapdragon 855, to support the Qualcomm X50 5G modem.

Xiaomi has announced partnerships with various mobile phone providers across the EU, including Orange, Telefonica, TIM, Vodafone and Sunrise, who are the first to make the device available.

Xiaomi has partnered with many more mobile providers, which will be announced soon, and will make the Xiaomi device available through their retail networks.

In terms of pricing, the Mi Mix 5G was initially priced at € 599, but eventually its price has changed upwards. Despite the price of 847 Swiss francs ($ 831), it is the cheapest of the other 5G phones available from the Swiss provider.

Sunrise has the first 5G network in Switzerland, which now covers more than 150 cities with 5G since the beginning of April. It plans to complete the development of its 5G network by the end of 2019.
