The contribution of passive infrastructure companies as a critical economic success factor of 5G was highlighted by Anastasios Yovas, Senior Account Manager of Vantage Towers, representing the company at 24th Infocom Conference, on "Fiber & 5G Highways: DigitAll", which took place on Monday 29 and Tuesday 30 November 2022 in Athens
O Mr. Yovas presented its project and strategic goals Vantage Towers, which is a leading provider of passive infrastructure in Europe, with a presence in 10 countries, including Greece.
From the floor of the Conference, Mr Mr. Yovas highlighted her contribution Vantage Towers in the development of 5G connectivity by providing space in its infrastructure for the rapid expansion of new networks, the implementation of solutions to strengthen coverage in indoor spaces, the possibility of installing "smart" sensors in its facilities and its assistance in the promotion of AI applications of the future, such as Industry 4.0, "smart cities", autonomous driving and robotic medicine.
All of the above is carried out with respect for people and the environment as the company is committed to becoming a "green" Tower Company implementing a series of "green" solutions.
Specifically, it is the use of 100% electricity from renewable sources, the reuse or recycling of 100% of its equipment, the installation of wind turbines in its infrastructure, the use of "mobile" generators with alternative fuels in its network, the construction of masts from environmentally friendly materials the environment, such as wood, with the main goal of reducing the environmental footprint as much as possible.
