The Xiaomi 13 Pro will finally be officially presented this Sunday 11 December, and now a new video reveals that the device will have and IP certification
The new Xiaomi 13 Pro which will be officially unveiled along with the other devices in the series, apart from the variant with a fancy green color and a new camera design it will have, most importantly it finally gets an official IP certification. The company revealed that the phone will be certified for dust and water resistance in a video posted today on Weibo.
The camera will be able to take photos in all environments, including the starry night mode, a feature that is missing from the Xiaomi 12 Pro.
The IP rating must be certified by IEC – International Electrotechnical Commission, otherwise, a product cannot legally be advertised as having this type of protection.
Xiaomi budget Smartphones have official certification IP53, meaning these phones are protected from mild dust and water drops. But we are waiting for the news Xiaomi 13 Pro to have certification IP68, as in its current flagship Xiaomi 12S Ultra , which means that the device will be able to withstand even more difficult conditions.
The color of the device we see in the poster above is called Wilderness Green, and will be sold in a limited edition package that will include a smartwatch inside the package, which should be the new model of WatchS2, and the new headphones Buds 4 Pro. Inside the package will also be a huge lanyard protective case for the wrist in the same gorgeous color.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will power the devices
Both Series 13 devices will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and will come with plenty of RAM and storage while using memory RAM type LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0 flash for storage, which is one of the best and fastest on the market.
Both devices in the series will come pre-installed with the MIUI 14 based on Android 13 (at least in global markets), while MIUI 14 will also be officially unveiled on December 11 alongside the two phones.
The Xiaomi 13 is expected to have E6 AMOLED screen 6,36 inches with FHD+ resolution, which will be a flat screen panel with a high refresh rate at 120 Hz.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro, on the other hand, will have a larger one E6 AMOLED screen 6,73 inches with analysis QHD +, which will be a curved panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
Moving on to the cameras, the Xiaomi 13 will feature a triple rear camera system, with the main lens on the 50MP, one Ultrawide lens at 12MP and a third lens at 10MP.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro it will have a slightly better triple rear camera system, with the main lens at 50MP, an ultra-wide-angle lens at 50MP and one telephoto lens at 50MP.
As for the battery, the base version of the Xiaomi 13 will be powered by a battery at 4.500 mAh with fast charging support on 67 WWhile 13 Pro will be powered by a battery cell at 4.820 mAh with fast charging support on 120 W, and will have too support for wireless charging at 50W.
Apart from the Xiaomi 13 series, the company at the same event is also expected to launch other devices such as xiaomi watch s2 and headphones Xiaomi Buds 4, the Xiaomi MiniHost which is the company's first desktop computer.
