Xiaomi has filed a new patent in CNIPA (National Intellectual Property Office of China) at the end of 2019 for two new ones smartphone with different surround screen.
ΣIn late 2019, Xiaomi announced a prototype smartphone with a surround screen called I MIX Alpha . The company has stated that this device will be available for sale in limited quantities, but this never happened.
More than a year has passed since then, and the company has not revealed its successor either Mi Mix Alpha but neither is any successor to the series Mi Mix, however, patented some designs for various smartphones that had a similar design.
In accordance with LetsGoDigital , Xiaomi has filed a new patent in CNIPA (National Intellectual Property Office of China) in late 2019 for two new smartphones with different surround screen.
In the first drawing you see above, the screen of this phone hugs the body of the device from top to bottom, and there are two separate screens on either side. In addition, the device has a horizontal Module for cameras on the back that includes a quad-camera layout, a dual flash, a dual LED and a microphone.
The main feature of this design is that this smartphone is slimmer than MIX Alpha and still has an elliptical shape.
In the second design you see below, this Smartphone has a more rounded shape. In addition, the device has a horizontal Module for the cameras on the back that includes a triple camera assembly and there is no LED flash or microphone.
What is certain is that Xiaomi is not going to launch any of the above Smartphones in the near future, as it is very difficult to proceed with mass production of the devices, as was the case with Mi Mix Alpha.
