Η Xiaomi just updated the line of smart office lighting with the new one Mi Desk Lamp 1S Enhanced edition
ΤXiaomi's new desk lamp retains the design of its predecessors, but has an upgraded LED unit. Still supports the Apple HomeKit and voice control through Crab and has the same attractive price at which it was released Desk Lamp 1S in 2019.
As mentioned above, there are no major design changes in this enhanced version Smart Mi Desk Lamp 1S by Xiaomi. However, the new thing in this luminaire is Full range LED modules available, which translate into better and softer lighting efficiency in different environmental conditions. However, the company did not say whether the new smart bulb provides improved brightness compared to the previous model which has brightness in 520lm.
According to Xiaomi, the My Desk Lamp 1S Enhanced is now certified Ra95 compared to certification Ra90 of its predecessor. This means it will offer improved color performance that will be much closer to natural light (Ra100). Thus, anything illuminated by the new luminaire will not greatly alter the natural colors.
In terms of functionality, there is still the selector for controlling the brightness and selecting the color temperature (2600-5100 K). Alternatively, you can adjust these settings directly from the application We Home. Xiaomi adds that the new smart bulb has lifespan reaching up to 25.000 hours.
The My Desk Lamp 1S Enhanced Xiaomi also has four special features, such as Reading, Computer, Kids and Focus (focus), as in the simple version of the device. Xiaomi seems to have failed to mention support for Google Assistant and to Alexa of Amazon.
Pricing and availability
The Enhanced model of Mi Desk Lamp 1S costs 199 yuan (about $ 30 / € 28) and is already available in China. We expect this smart desk lamp to be available worldwide very soon, however the price and availability in other countries will vary and the prices will probably be much higher than in China.
