ΈIt took over 4 months - from May 31st when it was officially announced - to finally see the NFC version of Mi Band 3 available for purchase! The announcement was made by Xiaomi's Weibo account, where he also posted some screenshots of the Mi Fit application - especially for Mi Band 3 NFC.
The screenshots show the possibility of using Xiaomi's smartband for payment in MMM, buses / trains, etc., while it also has a special interface to charge travel cards in China. As we have told you many times, the NFC version will be compatible with the Mi Pay service, which is available mainly in China - not in Europe and of course not in Greece.
Xiaomi Mi Band 3
The new Mi Band 3 has Bluetooth 4.2 LE compatibility, IP67 certification of course and all - at least - the characteristics of its predecessor. The details, however, show that the screen of the Mi Band 3 is more. Rounded than the previous model. At the bottom, however, the circular home button is maintained the screen is now touch, since we can perform specific functions with swipe up / down / left / right etc!
It also shows caller ID (Caller ID), notifications from all applications, has a heart rate monitor, is waterproof up to 50 meters, while NFC support is for a special version for contactless transactions. Its autonomy will reach 20 days, while it will be available in 3 colors (Orange, Black, Blue).
Huami will soon make an event, in which it will announce the availability of the NFC version of Mi Band 3. Because it is practically useless at this time in our country, the wise choice is that of the "classic" Mi Band 3 from above.
