Things started to happen difficult for Xiaomi in March in India, since it is the first time after many years that loses first place in sales.

Τat least in India its philosophy seems to be working well so far Xiaomi to provide the best Hardware in its devices at very honest or reasonable prices. For years, the company has led the smartphone market share held in the country of India, and in recent years Xiaomi has held the title as the No. 1 smartphone manufacturer in India, with a market share that exceeds it 15%.

But things started to get difficult for Xiaomi, after through the report published by Counterpoint Research to Buy Smartphone in India at month March 2022, Xiaomi seems to be losing ground to its competitors.

According to the report published by Counterpoint Research for March 2022, the Xiaomi although it managed to maintain its market share in 22%, however, her opponent - the Samsung,  managed to surpass it with an amazing market share that reached 27% in India.

This report focuses particularly on the month March and Xiaomi seems to have fallen to second place for this month in terms of all missions it has achieved, but at the same time according to the quarterly report (Q1 2022) published by Counterpoint Research, the Xiaomi is still the No. 1 smartphone maker in India.

The results for May may be a simple warning to the company to take care of the problems it has, because if users turn to other brands or if the preference for Xiaomi Smartphones continues to decline significantly in the coming years months then things may become irreversible.

If Xiaomi continues to lose market share in India at the same pace, its competitors will be able to overtake it and take first place. So, Xiaomi will have to deal with its shortcomings quickly, otherwise its current market share will be further reduced in the near future, which will mean its reputation.

There may be a number of reasons for Xiaomi to reduce its market share in India by March 2022. Many users of the company's devices have complained about various defects (Bugs) in the MIUI and quality issues in its devices, while at the same time, the Xiaomi India was also recently charged with violation of foreign exchange legislation in India, with seizures of almost total amount US $ 725 million.
