Xiaomi releases the new Himo Z16 Foldable Electric Bicycle, which becomes available on the platform through crowdfunding of Xiaomi, in the well-known Youpin.
Η Xiaomi is known for its huge amount of products. The company is one of the most important smartphone manufacturers in the world, however, in China, the company also offers a variety of products belonging to different categories.
While some of these products are also available in global markets, there are many more available only in China. Xiaomi's latest product is the new Himo Z16 Foldable Electric Bicycle, which is available on Xiaomi's crowdfunding platform, known as Youpin.
It adopts a new form-factor, although it has some similarities with the old Himo H1. It also has some interesting features, such as pedals, that you can use as a regular bike if the battery is low.
Interestingly enough, the entire bike weighs just 22,5 kg, and the choice of very light materials such as the aluminum alloy frame contributes to this. The low weight also helps in longer battery life.
The Himo Z16 has essentially a triple split design, and can be folded into the center body, foot pedals and steering wheel. As it is a modern electric bike, you can also control some parameters through an LCD screen that has it. So on the screen you can see information about its battery power, the kilometers you have traveled, real-time speed and other information. In addition, it has waterproof IP07 certification, and the screen is not endangered by rain.
Users can use the new bike in three power-assisted modes, which include full electric power, power-assisted riding and pedal-only mode.
In the first mode, the bikes provide a range of 55 km after a full charge. In the assisted mode, the autonomy extends to 80Km, and as you can imagine, you will sometimes help through the pedals.
The Himo Z16 is powered by a removable 18650 quality car battery. This battery can be fully charged in just 5 hours.
The Himo Z16 is priced at $ 352, which is amazing for what it offers. Unfortunately, there is no information on whether it will be released in markets other than China.
