Xiaomi 13 Series: Mass production of the devices has begun – prices are expected to increase by 15%-20%

According to recent rumors, the upcoming new generation of its flagships Xiaomi 13 series, are expected to be released soon, with a significant increase in their price

The increase in the price of Xiaomi 13 series Smartphones is expected to fluctuate between 15 - 20%, mainly due to the increase in production costs, the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, exchange rate fluctuations and other factors.

Xiaomi's decision to increase the price will also play a big role eliminate ads and bloatware in MIUI 14, taking away a lot of revenue for the company that will have to cover it in some other way. Xiaomi has a small profit margin on each unit of devices it sells, and it is expected that it will not be able to absorb the increases in production costs, as a result of which it will be forced to pass it on to the prices of its products.

So according to the rumors, the price of Xiaomi 13 is expected to start from CNY 4500 (~$628 / €604). Xiaomi has already started mass production of the 13 series devices, which will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC of Qualcomm in 4nm.

The Xiaomi 13 series will “renews the perception we have of battery autonomy", and will become perhaps the best Smartphone in the history of Xiaomi in terms of performance and battery life, surpassing even the 12S series in autonomy.

The digital blogger @digitalchatstation revealed to us earlier, that the Xiaomi 13 series has an upgraded secondary Leica telephoto camera unit, and all devices in the series will come with MIUI 14 pre-installed.

The new Xiaomi 13 series will include two versions: the basic version Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro.
