The installation of infrastructure 5G network is central to the competitiveness of the country and Europe, as they are expected to be the basis for digital and green transformation.

  • But what does the consumer think?
  • How much does 5G concern him and what is his level of knowledge?
  • To what extent has it accepted the new technology and what are its expectations as a 5G subscriber?

The 5th networks mobile phone generation are available from December 20, 2020 and from their earliest stages of operation, the term 5G was already widely known. The following are the main conclusions of the research:

  1. 5G creates positive acceptance with the strongest benefit being "fast and upgraded speed". But because it is not associated with any other distinct and powerful benefit, it does not yet create excitement in the consumer.
  2. Mobile Internet use is universal. According to the research, the use of mobile internet is almost universal from 9 out of 10 residents of Athens & Thessaloniki, for various uses of social media, work, surfing, etc.
  3. The consumer is familiar with the term 5G, perceives it as the "hot news" of the telecommunications industry and 62% associate it with a spontaneous reference to speed.
  4. 5G acceptance in its early stages looks positive, with 65% of respondents saying positive

Expectations exist, as do challenges that must be met. The industry can contribute as it already does to consumer education about 5G, as it can meet their individual needs and provide them with an exciting experience. 5G offers evolution, upgrade in our culture, in know-how, in our experience.

The result of the research was that "5G creates positive acceptance"…
It makes sense when someone bought their new mobile phone for € 800, the unlimited data program and wants to sell berries.

What he has not understood is that the ordinary cosmopolitan with the prepaid phone and the 1Gb volume charge can eat all his data by mistake in an update within seconds.

Give unlimited data first with proper population coverage or gigabit speeds at home and then create a "positive acceptance of new technology" with imaginative commercials.
