Attention: New attempt to steal your login to Winbank (Piraeus Bank) via Email

phishing-alert

A while ago we received a new mail inviting us to declare our account details in Winbank Piraeus Bank, which notifies us that there is an upgrade of the security systems and we should renew our details so that the Winbank service does not expire

Κwe receive many mails every day allegedly from banks or from PayPal, by various experts who are usually based abroad or even in our country, with the aim of stealing the login details in our accounts, so that they can enter undisturbed and "lift" up to the last euro.

So today, we received an email, allegedly from Piraeus Bank, which notifies us that there is an upgrade of the security systems (us!) and we will have to renew our details so that the service does not expire Winbank. We should reply to the mail by clicking on the link they give us (never click on this link if you received the same mail). In other words, scams to fish out the unsuspecting, steal the login information they have in their bank account, and withdraw what they have and don't have in their deposits.

Of course we will not be the only ones to have received this Mail, and for this we have the obligation to inform you immediately.

If you also received or will receive the above mail, Delete it IMMEDIATELY, and do not make the mistake of clicking on some of the links they have placed in the text.

Also contact your bank to inform them about mail or SMS that you just received.

Citizens who receive such messages are invited to:
  • do not select the suggested links ( link ),
  • do not reply to messages,
  • do not register or send personal data and credit card details.

More information on the "phishing" methodology can be found on its website Electronic Crime Prosecution Directorate:

Disseminate this information to friends and relatives to alert them and protect them from this threat.

The Email scam they aim to deceive you, so they always make sure they look like what you are familiar with.
