Following the relevant announcements of our company on 15/1/2020 and on 22/12/2021, we inform you that the gradual deactivation of the 3G network (which is done as part of the network upgrade 4G and 5G) is underway and is expected to be completed across the country within its first semester 2023
We remind you that all subscribers can check the technology type of their device (i.e. if it is 2G, 3G, 4G or 5G) as well as their SIM card at any store in the Vodafone network. Vodafone has ensured that all its subscribers using an old technology SIM card can replace it immediately and free of charge at the same points.
Now, internet access (Internet) will be done through advanced networks 4G and 5G from devices that support 4G or 5G network, with technology cards U-SIM, while voice and messaging services (SMS) are not affected and will continue to be serviced normally.
Contract, Card program and Prepaid subscribers affected by the interruption of the 3G network in their area have the right to terminate their contract without notice within two (2) months from the date of interruption, for which they will be informed via an informative text message - SMS (except of any remaining device or terminal equipment subsidy).
Subscribers can control the type of technology of their device (ie if it is 2G, 3G, 4G or 5G) as well as their SIM card at any Vodafone store. Vodafone has ensured that all its subscribers using an old technology SIM card can replace it immediately and free of charge at the same points.
