Φyear at Christmas, the time of year when we give gifts from our hearts, the Vodafone offers the gift of connectivity to families in need and in collaboration with SOS Children's Villages, invites everyone to participate in this offering of love. This action is a practical confirmation of its strategic position Vodafone: Together We Can, that human-technology collaboration can answer important questions, creating a better future, in a sustainable digital society, with equal opportunities for all.
In order to help even more of our fellow human beings and to make the Internet access equal for all, Vodafone invites those who have a smartphone that they no longer use to bring it to a Vodafone store. The company will undertake the repair of the device and together with a sim card with unlimited Data for one year, in collaboration with the SOS Children's Villages, will give it to a family in need.
Every family will receive a Smartphone for free along with a new one prepaid connection, which will offer unlimited Data every month for a year. The device that will be given will be checked by the service Check & Go on its proper functioning and will then be repaired, through the service Vodafone Express Repayr, where necessary.
Η Vodafone chose to collaborate once again and contribute to their valuable work SOS Children's Villages. With extensive action and 45 years of experience in prevention programs, alternative family care and supported independent living, SOS Children's Villages implement programs and actions in three areas:
(a) Family Empowerment, with 10 Child and Family Support Centers and 6 Learning and Pedagogical Support Centers in all of Greece
(Β) Development and Promotion of Sponsorship, in collaboration with UNICEF as a partner in the program "Child GuaranteeOf the European Commission and
(c) Alternative Care with 4 SOS Children's Villages, 2 Youth Homes and 2 SOS Baby Hostels.
Those who are interested in participating with Vodafone and SOS Children's Villages, can offer until January 9 the Smartphone they no longer use, in a Vodafone store, but also free internet access for a whole year to families in need.
