In particular, in addition to upgrading the speeds, the Vodafone will formulate, together with residential customers who wish to do so, personalized combined service packages that include subscription to Vodafone TV for rich content, unique prices for mobile contracts, as well as the service Vodafone Secure Net Family, to protect residential customers from online threats.
Correspondingly, for corporate customers, Vodafone will offer personalized combined service packages that facilitate work and collaboration from any point, solutions 4G backup, solutions Internet of Things for the remote monitoring and management of business assets, such as their fleet and refrigeration units, services Facility Management to optimize, among other things, the energy consumption of businesses and Digital Signage for the remote management of advertising or informational content displayed on screens.
In this way, the company's subscribers will be able to take advantage of the real benefits of ultra-high speeds and enjoy a complete digital experience. At home, entertainment is upgraded with access to its platform Vodafone TV, which hosts content from top content creators such as Disney+ and HBO, together exclusively, while communication is enriched, becomes faster and more secure. At work, fast and seamless connectivity boosts efficiency and facilitates remote collaboration and management.
The President and CEO of Vodafone Greece, Harris Broumidis, stated in this regard:
We have therefore strategically chosen to offer our customers, in addition to doubling their speeds for free, the applications, products and services that exist thanks to these high speeds, at particularly advantageous prices. To deliver, in other words, a truly complete connectivity experience for home and business.
The free speed upgrade will be implemented gradually, starting in July 2022, will concern residential customers and professionals who have active landline and Internet plan at Vodafone, and will take place in areas where optical fiber has not yet reached the home or business, and where this is technologically feasible. Subscribers will be moved to the next commercially available internet speed at no charge, maintaining the price of their existing plan. In more detail, speed programs up to 24Mbps, up to 50Mbps and up to 100Mbps, will be upgraded to speeds of up to 50Mbps, up to 100Mbps and up to 200Mbps, respectively.
Subscribers whose connections are eligible for a free upgrade will be informed in the next period through personal telephone communication and text message (SMS), in order to be informed in detail about the services offered and to accept the speed upgrade by renewing their contract for 24 months.
