H Ubisoft, the giant distributor and creator of famous games, confirmed today that there was a breach in the company's database, which concerns exclusively the popular game Just Dance.

ΣAccording to the information, it was possible to access the players 'account data for a short period of time, but not the players' personal information.

Η company said that this incident was isolated and was the result of an incorrect configuration on the game platform, but it is unknown at this time what exactly happened. What is certain is that Ubisoft initially spotted one invasion of database for the game Just Dance, and then the company was able to quickly close this dangerous vulnerability.

For a short time, however, it was possible for unauthorized persons to access some of the player's account data and possibly copy it, however, the details of the extent and exact content of these leaks are not yet known.

According to Ubisoft, the immediate actions taken by the company blocked the result of preventing in time the large extent of the leak in Ubisoft, however, the company will further publish its findings from its research.

She informed the members of her community saying:

We recently detected a breach in its infrastructure Ubisoft concerning the Just Dance game. This incident was the result of an incorrect configuration that, once detected, was quickly resolved, but allowed unauthorized persons to access certain personal information, and possibly copy some of the game's player data.

The leaked data was limited to "technical IDs" including player IDs (GamerTag) in their profile and device IDs for the game Just Dance, for those who have registered and filled in this data for public use in the gaming community and / or on your social media profiles.

Our investigation has not shown that this Ubisoft account information has been compromised as a result of this incident.

Protecting players' data is a top priority for Ubisoft, and therefore we would like to inform the community about this incident in full transparency. All players affected by this incident will soon receive an email and will be able to contact our support team for more information. We have taken all necessary precautionary measures to protect our infrastructure from future events, and thank you for your understanding.

According to media reports, the Ubisoft has not yet answered questions about how many are ultimately affected by the above incident.

The game Just Dance  made its debut 2009, however, several million copies have been sold since then.
