Η Xiaomi is preparing to be released soon at least six Smartphones that will be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ (Plus).
Σon November 30, 2021 at Snapdragon Tech SummitThe Qualcomm announced the top SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen1, while the next Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ (Plus) is expected to be released during second half of 2022.
Xiaomi will once again be Qualcommm's biggest customer, as the company according to recent leaks coming to light, is preparing to release at least 6 Smartphone to be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ (Plus).
The xiaomiui.net discovered inside Xiaomi MIUI source code, several new devices that will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ SoC which we list in the list below.
- Xiaomi 12 UItra (thor)
- Xiaomi Mi MIX FOLD 2 (zizhan)
- Xiaomi 12S (fingering)
- Xiaomi 12S Pro (unicorn)
- Xiaomi Mi 12T Pro (mayfly)
- Redmi K50S Pro (mayfly)
Xiaomi's MIUI source code lists phones that use an as-yet-unnamed SoC, codenamed SM8475. As we know it Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ has the code name SM8475, so all Xiaomi devices listed above will be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ and of course we will be dealing with flagships and not Mid-Range devices.
The Xiaomi 12 Ultra (thor) is expected to be the first Xiaomi flagship to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+, and the official presentation of the device is expected to take place at the same time as the announcement of the new SoC by Qualcomm.
