ΤThe well-known site Phonearena gathered the mobile phones with the biggest and the smallest SAR index for 2018, with the first places being held by two Google devices, while it seems that the Sony Xperia XZ3 emits the least radiation.
The SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) is an international unit of measurement of radiation that measures the degree of absorption of radiation emitted by the mobile phone to the head and body. The measurement is made in Watt / kg and the smaller the number, the lower the absorption, resulting in a "safer" mobile phone.
It should be noted that normal values differ in Europe and the US and so the SAR ceiling for the United States is around 1.6 W / kg while in Germany it is less than 0.6 W / Kg.
As mentioned before, the first places with the biggest SAR are occupied by Google devices with the Pixel 3 holding the first places with SAR that reaches 1.34 W / kg both on the head and the body. The One Plus 6 and 6T, the LG V40 and the three latest Apple devices, the iPhone XS and XS Max and the XR, also have very high SAR.
On the opposite side is the LG G7 in terms of radiation absorption on the head as well as Samsung's three flagships, the Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus with low SAR rates ranging between 0.27 and 0.36 W / kg while, Finally, the Sony Xperia XZ3 has the lowest price on the head and body.
