Το Pocophone F1 does not have Widevine L1, which means you will not have access to high quality video from streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu, BBC, as all major streaming services rely on it.
Widevine is a DRM system that ensures that a video stream can not be copied illegally. There are three levels, but virtually every stream with a resolution of 720p and above requires L1. The phone comes with the L3, which allows 540p streaming, but this even a cell phone screen is not high resolution and is easy to see with the naked eye.
Widevine is not something you can just install, even an OTA update, as it can not fix the problem. As was the case with OnePlus 5T users who discovered that the Widevine L1 can installed only at a service center, so device owners had to send their phones back to OnePlus.
By the way, this problem is not only about Pocophone. Even the flagship Xiaomi Mi 8 only comes with Widevine L3. The same goes for Android One Mi A1, Redmi Note 4 and other phones. This probably means that there is no easy solution (but even if there is a solution, it will not be pleasant).
