Η GPU will be released at a suggested price $279 for its simple implementations and its differences with the RX 580 come to light.
Η Radeon RX 590 will be a refresh of AMD's Polaris architecture and at the same time one the shrink at TSMC 12nm allowing chip times to be increased by 15% from the previous RX 580. Its memory and timing are two of the specs that will remain the same in this generation and will reach 8GB clocked at 8Gbps. The smaller integration method gives AMD the advantage of increasing the clock speeds to 1545MHz (Boost) with theoretical performance approaching 7.1 TFLOPS.
Among the models that will be released there will be packages with games, thus attracting more people who want to upgrade their GPU. The first performance figures show the RX 590 firmly in front of the existing AMD 20nm Polaris 14 GPU, something that is repeated with the GTX 1060 through tests done inside AMD. Quite soon we are waiting for the first independent performance reviews of several custom implementations, thus confirming the performance resulting from the internal testing of AMD.
