SK Hynix is definitely among the companies with the most experience in the field, having made rapid progress in recent years with the design of the first Charge Trap Flash (CTF) -based, 96-layer 4D NAND flash in 2018, and 128-layer 4D NAND flash in 2019, while with the current announcement it will be found with an increased portfolio for future plans, for consumer and for enterprise SSDs, an area that the Korean company wants to be particularly concerned with.
It is noted that the agreement also includes construction units such as the one in China, but without the products of the series Optane which seems to be managed by n Intel, without any particular development. Finally, the above acquisition NAND Flash section will take place fairly immediately.
