Η Samsung is preparing for the launch of new generation foldables for 2022 and one of the innovations we will see in them will be the integration of new technology storage space.
Η company announced the UFS 4.0 (Universal Flash Storage) exploiting the 7th generation V-NAND memory and new controller allowing speeds reading and registration until 4200MB / s and 2800MB / s respectively.
In addition to higher speeds, storage spaces UFS 4.0 will offer on the devices 46% better energy performance compared to the previous generation, as well as twice the bandwidth (up to 23.2Gbps per channel) characterized by Samsung as ideal for the needs of 5G smartphones that have the ability to process large data packets.
Apart from the category of smartphones, Samsung estimates that we will see UFS 4.0 storage space up to 1TB in devices VR, AR and car systems. This means that in the future we will see more and more electronic devices with 512GB and 1TB storage space.
