Η Samsung examines the ways in which it will be able to expand the ecosystem of its new flexible screens that it is expected to present in 2019, as broadcast by Korean Media. One of these ways is to produce flexible OLED screens for the respective models of Chinese manufacturers, such as Xiaomi and Oppo.
Samsung Display is said to have already presented its work to their potential new partners. The screens in question are different from the curved screens currently available on the company's Galaxy S and Galaxy Note models. Samsung's foldable phone called the Galaxy X or F (or whatever it ends up being called) will have a flexible display with a touch circuit built in, and there is only one factory in Korea that can produce this.
Samsung is confident that it will produce the superior product it seems and is willing to lend these screens to third-party devices as well, in order to grow the ecosystem of foldable phones in the market and in the minds of the consumer. Analysts believe that by 2020, 5 million such devices will have been sold.
