Η Samsung officially announced that he built the first 16-gigabit (Gb) LPDDR5X DRAM in the world with architecture 14nm.

Η  new LPDDR5X DRAM will find application in a variety of solutions related to 5G, Artificial Intelligence, augmented (AR) and virtual (VR) reality, but also the famous metaverse.

The 16Gb LPDRR5X DRAM module will offer 1.3x times faster data processing (up to 8.5 Gbps instead of 6.4Gbps) consuming 20% less energy compared to memories L. In addition, thanks to its architecture it will allow the integration of up to 64GB RAM in one package to meet the growing performance needs of mobile devices worldwide.

Η Samsung states in its announcement that it will start collaborations with the major chipset manufacturers worldwide to create a more sustainable working framework that will serve the upcoming metaverse operation and considers that the LPDDR5X DRAM will play a fundamental role.

It is possible to see memory LPDDR5X on some of the company's upcoming smartphones. Rather difficult to Samsung Galaxy S21FE which is said to be presented on January 4 2022, but maybe in a row Samsung Galaxy S22 which is also said to be presented on February 8 2022.
