Η Russia suspects that Germany is behind him block Russia Today (RT) channels on Youtube, arguing that Germany has started a war on the media.

Η  Russia and Google they were never best friends, but things are now getting worse if the two parties fail to reach an agreement soon enough to resolve their differences.

Just the YouTube deleted the account of the Russian state television network Russia Today (RT) based in Germany due to misinformation about him COVID-19, Russia has threatened to shut down its video streaming service if it does not restore its account soon. RT Germany.

Russia has also threatened Germany with blocking all access German media from the country, suspecting that behind his decision YouTube to ban the RT Germany is Germany.

As the Deutsche Welle , the YouTube initially deactivated only his account RT with a time limit of one week for violating the rules of the misinformation platform COVID-19.

Her channel Russia Today (RT) used its second channel, "The Missing Part”To continue uploading content to Youtube intended for Russia Today (RT) 's main channel, effectively bypassing the blockade.

As stated by one of its representatives Youtube, The Russia Today nouns "tried to bypass the block by using another channel, and as a result both channels are now blocked for violating the YouTube Terms of Service".

Immediately, the Russian service Roskomnadzo, which is responsible for overseeing the media, asked Google remove all restrictions, threatening to either fine the company or completely or partially block Google's video platform in the country.

Reacting to the ban, its editor-in-chief RT, Margarita Simonian, got to the point of saying to Twitter "This is a real media war declared by Germany on the Russian state", accusing the German government of influencing the decisions taken by Youtube against RT.

He also called on Russian regulators in response to ban all German state media in Russia. And it seems the government has listened to its proposals Simonian.

According to a statement given to RadioFreeEurope (through The Washington Post ), the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said:

Given the nature of the incident, which is perfectly in line with the logic of the information war unleashed against Russia, compensatory symmetrical measures against the German media in Russia would not only seem appropriate, but also necessary.

The three parties should now find an immediate solution, but it seems that at the moment this may be very difficult. The German government, on the other hand, denies any involvement in the decision YouTube, noting that the YouTube imposes on itself the rules for misinformation about him COVID-19.

All of this may have a negative effect on the Russian population, as it may lose access to one of the largest entertainment platforms in the world.
