And its name, Royole FlexPai. Surely the Royole company made history these days and we will remember its name for a long time. This basically unknown company hit Samsung in the market with a foldable smartphone. And yes, it really works. For those who do not already know, FlexPai hosts the Snapdragon 855 processor (since it is already on sale, it is considered to be the first worldwide phone with the 855), with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and 128GB or 256GB of storage storage and dual camera 16MP + 20MP. Android 9.0 Pie is also running. The screen is AMOLED, 7,8 inches, and which, as we said, folds in the middle to be an easy to use - maybe a little strange - smartphone.
The company had presented a similar model in 2018, but it was not completed to enter the market. The Royole FlexPai has come out normally and can be bought by anyone. During the tests carried out in the exhibition, it did not present any problems in its operation, nor during the diploma process. However, it was observed that when an application was open on one side of the device (when it is folded) and you turn the device on the other, you do not see the application you had open but an almost "empty" screen. In addition, when the screen is unfolded (ie it works like a tablet) there is no way to keep the screen 100% straight, so holding the device with one hand shows a slight bend in the middle.
According to statements by the CEO of the company, while the hardware part of the device is complete, some modifications will follow in the software part. Whatever the case may be, we will just wait for the big companies to see what happens next.
