As expected, Xiaomi today announced the new Redmi Note 12 Turbo Smartphone in China, along with a special edition of the device, themed around the Harry Potter movie
The new Xiaomi – Redmi Smartphone is equipped with the newly announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC, combined with up to 16GB RAM (LPDDR5) in the upcoming years, while 1TB (UFS 3.1) storage space.
The Redmi Note 12 Turbo packs a 6,67 inch OLED screen with analysis FHD + and refresh rate at 120Hz, and the panel has a small hole for the front Selfie camera at 16MP.
The back of the device houses the main camera at 64MP, an ultra-wide-angle camera at 8MP and a Macro camera at 2MP.
The device is powered by a battery at 5.000 mAh with fast charging support on 67 and "runs" it MIUI 14 based on Android 13. In terms of connectivity, it has Bluetooth 5.3 in the upcoming years, while Wi-Fi 6, IR Blaster as well as a headphone jack on 3,5".
Redmi Note 12 Turbo becomes available in China on black, blue and silver color, while regarding its pricing, it is as follows:
- 8 / 256 GB at 1,999 CNY (~ $ 290)
- 12 / 256GB at 2,099 CNY (~$305)
- 12 / 512GB is at 2599 CNY (335 $ XNUMX)
- the top version with 16GB / 1TB costs CNY 2,599 (~ $ 377).
Xiaomi also partnered with Warner Brothers, and released a special edition of it as well Redmi Notes 12 Turbo on the subject of Harry Potter (with a special design on the back) with many accessories that you will find in the device packaging.
The special edition Harry Potter Edition comes 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage and costs CNY 2,399 (~ $ 349).
Open sales in China start from 31 March, but so far it has not been announced by the company if and when the devices will become available in other markets and in Europe.
