On the official website of the Chinese tech giant in India, a new one has now been opened microsite which is dedicated to the launch of the new model Redmi 12C. This page also reveals to us that the device will be officially announced in India on March 30, 2023.
While the page doesn't reveal any finer details about the device's specifications, we can assume that it will have identical specs to the version that debuted globally recently.
The Redmi 12C has one LCD screen at 6.71 inches which has HD + resolution, water drop notch for Sefie camera, aspect ratio 20.6: 9, contrast ratio 1,500: 1 in the upcoming years, while 500 nits maximum brightness.
Redmi's budget smartphone is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC combined with LPDDR4x RAM memory in the upcoming years, while eMMC 5.1 for internal storage. The device runs on an operating system MIUI 13 based on Android 12, and the company promises at least two major Android updates and three years of security updates.
At the back, the device has a 50MP camera, while the front part houses the Selfie camera with a 5MP sensor.
The device is equipped with a large battery at 5.000mAh which supports standard charging rates at 10W. Other notable features include supportthe dual SIM the 4G the Dual zone WiFi the Bluetooth 5.1 the GNSS, the port MicroUSB, the headphone jack at 3.5 mm and the card slot MicroSD to expand internal storage.
The device has been launched in Indonesia for a starting price of approx US $ 90 and became available in three memory variants at 3+32GB, 4+64GB in the upcoming years, while 4+128GB.
