Μbased in Thessaloniki, Greece and target the global market through the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo, officially launched sales, "Turnand Peripherals", a hardware company start-up with the object of manufacturing smart peripherals for smartphones. Specifically, theTurnand which has been active in the industry for the last two years, has developed the Innovative mobile case "Project Play", which has buttons on its body. Thanks to these buttons, the user has the ability to play his favorite retro games, placing the case on the front of the Smartphone, while at the same time having the feeling of the old console.
Turnand chose to dispose of the case "Project Play" in the global market through the public funding platform Indiegogo. On this platform, the Turnand team has created its own profile where those interested can learn more about the case and order it.
On its way to Indiegogo, Turnand has excelled in a variety of entrepreneurship and innovation competitions from both European and American institutions. Starting in September 2015 from the 80th TIF with a 3D printed - non-functional - original and a banner, the case "Project Play" managed to attract over 1000 visitors. In 2017, Turnand managed to win the 'Innovative Product of the Year' award from the Papastratos Foundation. In 2016, Turnand was a finalist in the pan-European entrepreneurship competition "Startify-7" organized by the Commission and in the entrepreneurship competition of the American College of Thessaloniki, while just a year ago, in 2015, was the only Greek team to reach the final of the largest competition entrepreneurship on the planet, organized by the Till Foundation, the eponymous billionaire and co-founder of PayPal, Peter Till.
All of this success brought Turnand to the attention of Wall Street Journal's American tech columnist Christopher Mims, who rebroadcast the case. "Project Play" on Twitter calling her 'smart'. At the same time, Turnand received an invitation to present ProjectPlay to US Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt, who did not hide his enthusiasm for her.
Turnand's team consists of Moussidis Stavros, 24 and Christos Tsiolas, 25, with the former specializing in management and product development and the latter in marketing. Since 2016, Turnand has been co-located and supported by the i4G Business Incubator.
