About a year and a half ago, the Xiaomi tech group partnered with another well-known Chinese electric car maker - Xpeng Motors. But that does not seem to be enough for the company's founder and CEO, him Lei Jun.
After a visit he made to Elon Musk (Tesla) in the USA, it is said that his company decided to start the creation of an independent electric car under the Xiaomi Brand. This information refers to Chinese online magazine Late Post (through Technode).

So now, after years of indecision, Xiaomi is reportedly on the verge of giving the green light to build its first electric car. This information comes from people who know very well what is going on inside Xiaomi. However, no further information was provided, and at present this information is not immediately verifiable.
What is worth noting for today's news is that never before have the various rumors circulating about the construction of an electric car by Xiaomi been so specialized.
