Poco X2 : Her new Smartphone Pocophone will be some RedMi K30 clone for India?

A new Smartphone appeared today at GeekBench, with name Poco X2 and code name phoenixin.

Σat the end of December 2019, its head Pocophone, Alvin Tse, in a message on Twitter had hinted that a new Smartphone of hers Poco will be released in 2020, but this post was deleted almost immediately after.

Earlier this week, Xiaomi submitted an application to secure it trademark for the Poco F2, and this immediately led us to assume that the arrival of the new Poco F2 could be done in a few months.

But the interesting thing is that today a new device with the name Poco X2, appeared in Geekbench, revealing some of its basic specifications. This name is detected for the first time, as another fake was published last year Geekbench list, which displayed a device as Poco F1 LiteAnd had tricked many technology pages around the world.

So, this time too we should be very wary of the new information, as there is no confirmation so far from the company for the existence of a Smartphone with the name Poco X2, and it is recommended that you wait for more information until it is confirmed that such a device actually exists.

The list in Geekbench 5 shows that Poco X2 It is powered by a Qualcomm processor with a base frequency of 1,80GHz. The SoC is combined with 8 GB of RAM, and instead of the name of the chipset, the list shows the name "phoenixin" which refers to the code name of the motherboard.

The  Poco X2 running Android 10, and in the Geekbench 5 test for the Single Core (Single Core CPU) scored 547 points, while in the Multi Core (Multi Core CPU) the device managed to score 1767 points.

In November 2019, the developers in  XDA Developers, presented a report that had revealed some of the basic specifications of the Redmi K30, before it was officially released last December.

It was first mentioned there that a Smartphone with a code name Phoenix It will be equipped with features such as a screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a fingerprint sensor that will be placed on the sides, and will have the Sony IMX686 sensor as the main camera.

This Smartphone later made its debut as known Redmi K30.

Respectively its code name Redmi K20 Pro is Raphael, and in the Indian version of the device, its code name is "raphaelin".

As we know, the Redmi K30 has a code name Phoenix, and the newcomer Poco X2 has the suffix "in" in the code name and is referred to as Phoenix. Therefore, there is a possibility Redmi K30 to be declared as Poco X2 in India.

The Redmi K30 with model number M191G7BI, found in the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) database. BIS approval suggests the device could soon be released in India, and instead of being called the Redmi K30, it could be released as Poco X2.

Of course, all of the above at the moment is nothing but speculation, and we believe that the mystery will be solved soon through some official confirmation or denial from Xiaomi.
