Temporary radio frequency usage rights for testing purposes of 5th generation networks will be granted for one year in the 3400-3800 MHz and 24,25-27,5 GHz bands. As for the areas of the test broadcasts, according to the memoranda that have been signed, it will be the Municipality of Trikala for Vodafone, the Municipality of Kalamata for Wind and the Municipality of Zografou for Cosmote.
The public consultation will end on October 30 and the test broadcasts are expected to start by the end of 2018. By the end of next year, the tender for the final assignment of frequencies for 5G networks will have been prepared and their development is expected to start in the next two years.
