Η OnePlus was present at IFA 2018 without making any announcement about a smartphone. OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has revealed that the company will soon open its first physical store in Paris.
It should be noted that despite the fact that OnePlus supports its sales in its online stores, it is active in France as OnePlus is sold through the mobile phone provider Bouygues, where it is sold in twenty stores, which are expected to increase.
In addition, OnePlus pop-ups, which are "set up" to welcome every new smartphone of the company, can not be considered as physical stores, with people forming queues to get it from the very first minute of its official release. More specifically, Carl Pei mentioned that the OnePlus store in Paris will open at the same time as the release of the next device which will logically be the OnePlus 6T.
The physical store that will open, will not only sell OnePlus smartphones but every product of the company with its brand such as cases, cables, chargers, bags, T-shirts, hats, and generally every product of the company, while visually it will be close to pop-up stores that appear with each new release of the company's smartphone.
Finally, when Carl Pei was asked about whether he felt threatened by the Pocophone of Xiaomi, answered that the biggest enemy of the company is itself and that there is still a lot of room for improvement.
