New Ryzen processors from AMD

Η AMD has added new models of Ryzen processors to its catalogs, both for laptops and desktops. More specifically, the company added the new Ryzen 2800H and Ryzen 2600H, which are intended for high-performance laptops, while last week it announced new quad-core and low-power Ryzen processors, six and eight cores, for desktops.

The Ryzen 2800H and Ryzen 2600H come with a configurable TDP of 35W to 54W (45W rated), which is significantly higher than the existing Ryzen 5 2500U and Ryzen 7 2700U, which ranged from 9W to 25W (15W rated ). This means that a laptop with a good cooling system, which will use the new Ryzen 2800H and Ryzen 2600H, will be able to offer significantly higher performance than a computer based on the Ryzen 5 2500U or Ryzen 7 2700U. This can be seen from the base frequency which in the new models is more than 1GHz.

AMD has not made any announcements about these new Ryzen laptops, so we have no information on when they will be widely available or priced. However, Lenovo has already added them to the list of available options.

As for the new Ryzen for desktops, these are four new models. We have the new Ryzen 7 2700E and Ryzen 7 2600E with eight and six cores respectively, low power with 45W TDP and simultaneous multithreading support, which doubles the number of threads that can be managed in 16 and 12 respectively. These new Ryzen are AMD's first low-power Ryzen processors for desktops.

The other two models are the quad-core Ryzen 5 2500X and Ryzen 5 2300X, with the 2500X also having simultaneous multithreading doubling the number of threads it can handle simultaneously to eight. For the time being, these two new quad-cores will only be available to major system manufacturers, so one can only find them on ready-made systems.

Following the release of all four of these Ryzen models, the list of Ryzen 2000 models:
