ΤOn the day that in China is called "Bachelors Day", or as 11.11 as it is referred to in various online stores in China, Xiaomi seems to have broken all records once again.
The news comes from Lei Jun himself, the president of the Chinese company, who on the social network weibo, reveals all the numbers that the company "hit". Let's start with the first and perhaps most important: it sold over 5 billion yuan, or over 650 million euros in just 24 hours.
In addition to record revenue, the Chinese giant also earned 128 first place rankings in major online stores such as Tmall, Jingdong and Suning. Tmall, in particular, is holding an annual competition in which it puts "war" the various Chinese brands, competing with each other in the total number of sales they will make, and of course Xiaomi has won for the sixth consecutive time.
Among the products that allowed Xiaomi to win so easily, we have the various smart gadgets and devices IoT (Internet of Things, ie connected to the Internet) for a total of 72 categories. In other words, Xiaomi saw its products rank first in 72 categories. ΔWe do not know how many categories there are in total, but this number is definitely monstrous.
We all love Xiaomi especially for the smartphones it provides, but how did the company do in this area?
Well, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 was the best-selling smartphone in the 3000 to 4000 yuan (€ 400-500) category in the Tmall store. The Xiaomi Mi 8 has beaten all its other competitors in Tmall, Jingdong and Suning in the 2000-3000 Yuan category (€ 250-400), while the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite is the undisputed king of the 1000-2000 Yuan category (130- 250 €) in Tmall and Suning stores.
In addition, even Xiaomi's latest TV Box has dominated almost everywhere, making it the best-selling device at Tmall, Jingdong and Suning, in the special TV offer categories.
After the endless series of victories, Lei Jun celebrated it at midnight by cooking crab, as a gift to the exhausted employees of the company.
