MSI: Dozens of RTX 3090 cards were "smoked" from the company's warehouses in China

MSI reported the incident a few days ago, claiming that it has material from the building's security cameras.

ΣA total of 40 boxes of graphics cards appear to have been stolen from an MSI warehouse in China with the company already conducting a police-assisted search to find the stock. The victim in this case was the exact implementation NVIDIA RTX 3090 and we are talking about 40 boxes that became smoke from the warehouses maintained by MSI in China.

Due to the level of security and the measures that prevail, the first estimates speak of 'work from within', thinking that the perpetrator probably knew exactly where the above graphics cards were stored. The 40 boxes in turn include from 5 to 6 graphics cards, so with a quick calculation the number of stolen GPUs slightly exceeds 200 Items.

The current state of availability has reached the limits of 'tragic' and many companies even today can not meet the orders of their customers, which results in long delays and delivery times.

The biggest problem seems to be with her RTX 3080 where the tempting price most often has given the impetus for several orders. The RTX 3090 on the other hand, due to the high price that sometimes exceeds the 1900€ tends to be more easily found by those who want the ultimate NVIDIA implementation, without having to worry so much about acquisition costs.

The theft is already being investigated by the local police and the number of pieces that 'made wings' is not expected to affect the global stock of cards, but it is not excluded, if you recently bought a MSI-RTX 3090, to be yours in them. MSI gives a brave reward $15.000 to anyone who can help find the valuable cards that are currently missing from the market.
