Η Xiaomi has moved on add "Ethernet tethering" function to MIUI 13, and we will see below in detail what exactly it is and how it works.

H Global & EEA version of MIUI 13 is going to be available on all Xiaomi devices which have been released in the last 2 years. However, on an almost daily basis, Xiaomi's developer team adds some small updates that take the company's Android skin to the next level.

Today we will talk about add "Ethernet tethering" function and we will see below in detail what exactly it is and how it works.

With the release of the new version 22.2.10 of MIUI 13 in China, a truly unexpected innovation was added. She is the ethernet connection. Those who know more about computers will already know exactly what this feature is.

For those who do not know, it is basically a feature that allows you to you share the smartphone internet on another device, such as a computer , through ethernet cable. It ethernet cable is what we use when we connect our PC to a modem in our home, and now the MIUI 13 now allows us to turn your smartphone into a cable hotspot.

Until now, the internet connection of any smartphone was possible through one Wi-Fi Router, through data network or at least, through Bluetooth . From today, however, starting with the Chinese version of MIUI 13, you will be able to convert the Data network from your provider to which your Smartphone is connected as shared, connecting to your smartphone with an ethernet cable which can then be to connect to another device.

How can this happen; It's simple: going to Settings and in the connectivity window, there will be a new choice for Ethernet tethering. By activating it and connecting your smartphone to another external device, it will be able to share the network (Internet) that your Smartphone is connected to the other devices.

In the market there are experts adapters who have USB Type-C output and Ethernet input and which cost a few euros, and clearly this will be the one and only way to physically connect the two devices.
