MIUI 13.1 : New version of MIUI based on Android 13, but unfortunately not for all devices

While we were all waiting for MIUI 13.5 to be released, in an unexpected move by Xiaomi, it released two days ago, the new version of MIUI 13.1

Η Xiaomi proceeded to launch the first DEV version of MIUI with Android 13 For the xiaomi 12 series, but from the looks of it, few devices will get this version.

Its version MIUI 13.1, based on the latest version of the Android 13 operating system, is already available for download, but this update is only for those who participate in Xiaomi Beta Testing program, and currently only applies to devices Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro.

This version is essentially the antechamber for its upcoming version MIUI 14, and aims to test the new features offered by the Android 13, currently located in BETA version 3 and not in its final (Stable) form.

An unofficial list of its next smartphones has already been released Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO which should be updated to Android 13. However, according to the official release schedule revealed by Google, we know that its operating system Android 13 will officially debut by the end  summer  or on early autumn.

So, don't get high hopes that your device will receive it MIUI 13.1, as this is expected to become available only on some flagship smartphones of the company, and it is impossible to complete its development in a short period of time for all other devices.

Most likely, the company leaves MIUI will abandon its plans to release the intermediate version in MIUI 13.5, and will proceed directly to its release MIUI 14.
