A new SOS function (SOS Mode) seems to be coming to Xiaomi smartphones in the next period, which is a regular tactic for the big manufacturers, in matters of their mobile security. The feature was detected in its closed beta MIUI 10 and allows the user to dial a predefined number in case of need.
This feature will initially be available on 5 devices of the company, but in the future their number will definitely increase. The SOS Mode feature is activated by its pressure On / Off key 5 times in a row, when a call will be made to a predefined number (or send a predefined SMS). For the time being the function will be available for Xiaomi Mi 8, Mi MIX 2, Mi 6, Mi 5 and Redmi Note 4X, while its activation is done through the menus:
Settings> SOS> Emergency Help
