Αand most of them have been deleted immediately from the official Google Play Store, however at least three applications are still available for installation today, including one that 50.000 downloads around the world and perhaps most worrying is that it has received an average rating 4.8 by users. Of course, most of these critics are probably Fake.

These are the most recent malicious applications that you should get rid of immediately
  • Document manager
  • Coin track Loan - Online loan
  • Cool Caller Screen
  • PSD Auth Protector
  • RGB Emoji Keyboard
  • Camera Translator Pro
These are some of the older applications that also have malware
  • Fast PDF Scanner
  • Air Balloon Wallpaper
  • Colorful Messenger
  • Thug Photo Editor
  • Anime Wallpapers
  • Peace SMS
  • Happy Photo Collage
  • Original Messenger
  • Pellet Messages
  • Smart Keyboard
  • Special Photo Editor
  • 4K Wallpapers

Delete the above applications (if you have not already done so)

This job is your responsibility, and the applications listed above should be removed from your device immediately before it is too late.

The usual way of cheating

Once the dangerous application is installed on an Android device, it will flood the victim with alerts urging him to "confirm" his phone number to claim a big prize.

The infected application will load a browser that will direct the user to a page to verify its details, thus keeping the application code clean and impossible to detect as a malicious application. So the app code is clean, but the page that loads through your browser is a whole different story.

As soon as the user enters his phone number, the intruders will sign them up for a monthly recurring charge of around $ 42 via a Premium SMS service, but the money that will be extracted from you does not go to any service but directly to the fraudsters.

What can you do to stay safe?

Although there is no sure way to keep all types of malware out of your phone, you need to do the following to minimize the risks:

  • Always download popular apps only from reputable stores such as the Google Play Store
  • Delete as soon as possible any application you suspect that is suspicious, potentially malicious, or confirmed to be dangerous by cybersecurity experts
  • Always check the average rating of the reviews that users make for the applications, and then be sure to read some of the dozens of individual negative reviews that signal the problems that users face with these applications
