"The Apple, about to brings ads to iPhone and iPad, in an effort to expand its revenue,” as writes Bloomberg

Όas it states Verge, the Apple, it might eventually expand ads to more of the apps that come pre-installed on iPhone and on other company devices, including Maps, Books and Podcasts.

According to a report made by Mark Gurman at Bloomberg, Apple has internally tested search ads in Maps, which could appear as some recommendations when you're looking for nearby restaurants, shops, or other businesses. Apple already implements a similar advertising model on App Store, as developers can pay Apple itself to have their app promoted on a search page for a specific query, such as “puzzle games"Or"photo editor".

As noted by Gurman, these Maps ads could work the same way, with businesses paying to appear at the top of search results when users enter specific search terms.

Ο Gurman believes that the Apple, could inject the ads into their native apps as well Podcasts and Books. This could potentially allow publishers to place ads in different areas of each app or pay to place their content higher in search results.

Currently, the Apple Maps, Podcasts and Books they don't show ads but that will probably change very soon. Advertising opportunities will also exist on Apple TV Plus, with the company apparently planning to create a lower-priced ad-supported subscription, similar to what they plan to implement both the Netflix as well as Disney Plus by the end of this year.

The Bloomberg points out that the Apple, already showing several ads in it News application – where some of that money goes back to the news publishers themselves. (“Apple also allows publishers to display ads on the articles they publish, and keep the vast majority of that money.”)

And while you can turn off personalized display of ads – which it has done 78% of its users Apple's iOS – but as Bloomberg notes “Another ironic detail here is that Apple's ad system uses data from the other services you've signed up to your Apple account to decide which ads to show, which doesn't seem consistent with repeated statements by the company that it always prioritizes the user's privacy".

As Bloomberg concludes “ΤNow the only question that remains to be answered is whether Apple customers – who seem to favor privacy and “clean” design in apps – are ready to live with a lot more ads. "
