The latest tests posted by Intel show an unreleased Ice Lake chip which comes face to face with them mobile Ryzen 7 with locked TDP 25W.
Μbrings to light some interesting measurements Intel and have to do with the GPUs that will be integrated into its mobile Ice Lake processors, which will soon be ready for launch through several notebooks from major manufacturers such as Dell.
A special slide even shows us the performances of such a processor in a range of six games and three benchmarks showing that the Gen11 GPU which it prepares during the year will have much higher performance than the previous generation (Gen9) and thus will reach the Vega that we find in AMD APUs.
Gen11 will be just the beginning for Intel which as we know will scale up its plan to reach the top layers of the market, with some exclusive GPU in the future. In addition to its performance against a mobile Ryzen 7 chip with Vega graphics, Intel rivals the Gen11 with the previous generation (Gen9) found in processors such as the Core i7 8565U of the Whiskey Lake family which includes eight models.
In this skirmish, Intel seems to have improved a lot in the whole range of games and benchmarks, which means that maybe in the near future we will have another competitive combination for the slim notebooks on the market.
