Acer Introduces New Swift, Spin and Aspire PC (IFA 2018)

Η Acer presented the new Swift, Aspire, Spin notebook and the 2-in-1 PC at IFA 2018, giving many options to those who want to invest in the purchase of a laptop with technical features for all needs.

Starting with the Swift 5, Acer declared it the lightest notebook with a 15-inch screen in the world, which weighs about 980 grams. In terms of technical features, the Swift 5 will be released with 14 and 15.6 inch Full HD screens, with Intel Core i5-8265U and Intel Core i7-8565U processors, while the RAM can reach up to 16GB DDR4. The graphics sector is taken over by the Intel UHD Graphics 630 while the SSD drive can reach up to 512GB.

In addition, Acer emphasizes that the 15.6-inch model (SF515-51T) will have a range of up to 10 hours, while the 14-inch model (SF514-53T) will have a range of 8 hours, with their price being at 1099 dollars and 999 dollars respectively, while the release date is set for January 2019 for the 15.6-inch model, with the 14-inch model to be released next month.

 

 

Going to Swift 3, this is a netbook that will be released with a 14-inch screen for North America and 13.3 inches for the markets of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Its screen has Full HD resolution, while there will be options for Intel Core i3-8145U, i5-8265U, or i7-8565U processors, with RAM reaching up to 8GB DDR4 or 16GB Intel Optane. For the Swift 3 graphics there is the choice of NVIDIA GeForce MX150 or Intel UHD Graphics 620, with the internal storage reaching 512GB SSD or 2TB HDD, the autonomy reaches up to 12 hours while it will be released in November at a price of 800 dollars.

Acer also introduced its Spin models, the "folding" netbooks which were also upgraded. The Spin 1 features an 11.6-inch Full HD display and a multitouch IPS LCD display with Active Stylus support, and options for an Intel Pentium Silver N5000 or Celeron dual-core N4000 processor. RAM is at 4GB while there are options for Intel UHD Graphics 600 or 605 regarding graphics and 128GB of internal eMMC storage. The autonomy of Spin 1 will reach 12 hours and will have options for Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 S.

The Acer Spin 3 comes with a 14-inch display and processors Intel's Core i3-8145U and Intel Core i5-8265U, with 8GB DDR4 RAM or 16GB Intel Optane, with 256GB PCIe SSD or 1TB 5400rpm HDD internal storage. The graphics card is built-in and is the Intel UHD Graphics 630, with a range of up to 16 hours, while the operating system is Windows 10 Home.

Regarding the Acer Spin 5, it has a screen at 13.3 inches, with Intel Core i5-8265U or Core i7-8265U processors, with 16GB DDR4 RAM, 256GB SSD and Intel UHD Graphics 630 for the graphics part. The autonomy of Spin 5 will reach up to 13 hours and its weight is 1.5Kg. It will have support for using Cortana, and the operating system will be Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro.

Markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa will have the Acer Aspire 3 Series available with a 14-inch Full HD display, a choice between Pentium, Celeron, or AMD A-Series processors and up to 8GB of RAM. There are also options in the field of graphics with Intel HD Graphics and AMD Radeon Graphics, while they will have a choice for 256GB SSD or 1TB HDD storage. In addition, they will have a DVD drive and will be released in December with a price starting at 399 euros.

The Aspire 5 series has also been upgraded, which will be available for the markets of Europe, the Middle East and Africa with a price starting at 549 euros. It will be released with 14 and 15.6 inch screens with HD Full HD and FHD IPS resolutions, processors from Intel Core i3 to Core i7 and 16GB Intel Optane memory. For graphics there will be options between Intel UHD Graphics 620, NVIDIA GeForce MX130, or GeForce MX150 and the internal storage will reach up to 512GB SSD or 2TB HDD, with some models also having a DVD drive.

As for the Acer Apdire 7 (A715-73G), the company did not announce anything about its price, with its technical features talking about a 15.6-inch screen with options for Full HD or Ultra HD resolutions and a processor up to Intel Core i7-8705G, while the DDR4 RAM will reach up to 16GB. The graphics will be managed by the Radeon RX Vega M GL with 4GB of memory, while it will have up to 512 SSD storage.

Finally, the Acer Aspire Z24, the all-in-one PC with a 23.8-inch Full HD IPS screen that is also a touch screen, caught the eye. It has options for many processors such as the eighth generation Intel Core i7 + and i5 +, i7 / i5 / i3 and Pentium Gold. The RAM is DDR4 and reaches 16GB while there is also an option for 32GB Intel Optane memory, with the graphics taking on one of the NVIDIA GeForce MX15 or Intel UHD Graphics 630/610.

The internal storage reaches 256GB using SSD or 2TB HDD, while there is also a built-in DVD drive and Windows 10 Home operating system. The Acer Aspire Z24 will be available in North America in October with a starting price of $ 899.
