Ten days ago the new HarmonyOS 2.0 of Huawei became available to more than 70 million users, and now the company has announced that it will be available in more than 100 devices.

Όall of these devices have been upgraded to Harmony OS 2.0, used to run it Android, but their owners chose to leave it behind and replace it with its new operating system Huawei.

Right now Huawei recruits many new beta testers for 6th wave of updates and the transition from Android to Harmony. All of these updates that Huawei makes have the effect of increasing the number of users who go to HarmonyOS.

The company is now planning the transition for approx 100 devices, with a process that will continue unabated until 2022.

Currently the set of devices that will go to HarmonyOS is 106, of which 75 are Smartphones, like their series P40, Mate 40 and Mate 30. Older flagships like their series P20 and Mate 10 as well as the nova 5i and 4e, recently joined the upgrade party, and the Huawei adds more models to the public beta test while also running some internal tests for even more devices.

Keep in mind that the number of 70 million devices includes only the old devices that were updated to the new Huawei operating system, while there are also newer phones, tablets and smartwatches that run the operating system, but are not included in this number of 70 millions of devices - users.

Also, the HarmonyOS feeds other smart devices (e.g. TVs) and IoT gadgets, but the latest addition (an hour ago) is a laser printer announced by Huawei.

The HarmonyOS is more of a platform than an operating system, and one of its main objectives is to ensure easy connectivity between different devices.

Third-party device manufacturers will also be able to connect through it Harmony OS Connect, as long as they create compatible devices.
