Xiaomi 70 Minutes DashCam Pro presented at 349 yuan (44 €)

Η Xiaomi continues to add accessories to our cars, improving driving conditions but also reducing the space inside the car. And so after aromatherapy room deodorant started yesterday, the Chinese company is now selling a new high quality dashcam product for those who prefer to have physical proof in case of accident or other driving difficulties.

The new dashcam is called Xiaomi 70 Minutes Dashcam Pro and is an evolution of the Xiaomi 70 Minutes Dashcam that was released about a year ago. The new Dash Cam comes with a Sony IMX5 335MP sensor with large pixels (2um), and can shoot videos with a resolution of up to 1944p, which is 2,5 times larger than 1080p, so we can produce videos with a lot of detail.

The sensor is connected to a lens with an aperture of F / 1,8 that will allow you to have good quality photos even in the darkest hours, and a viewing angle of 140 degrees with a system consisting of six different lenses. Being a high-end camera, the videos will be photographed with the H.265 encoder, ensuring that you have very good quality video that does not take up much space in memory. This is thanks to the device processor, a high-performance Huawei HiSili with two cores and support for the aforementioned encoder.

The Xiaomi 70 minutes Dashcam Pro then has a defog function that sharpens the video even in adverse weather conditions, however WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) will allow it to capture much more detail and color with the advanced ISP.

In terms of software, the dashcam has a tracking system for when you park your car. In fact, in the event of a collision, the G sensor will activate the camera and automatically capture the intruder. You can also turn on the dash camera with voice, for example you can tell them to take a photo or start recording video. Obviously, these features will be available in Chinese and will be difficult to translate into other languages.

The dashcam can also be made more useful with other components, such as the ADAS module, an advanced power assist system, parking sensors, surveillance components, and more. Finally, you can connect your smartphone via WiFi, to check the pictures and videos you have recorded and then download them to your phone, if necessary.

The Xiaomi 70 Minutes Dashcam Pro started in China at 349 yuan, or about € 44, and will almost certainly be available online soon for purchase outside of Asia.
