It is available from today myPhoto digital service, which will significantly facilitate citizens and professional photographers in their dealings with the State, essentially upgrading the level of services provided
With the new digital service, professional photographers will have the possibility to save in a simple and secure way the digital photo of the face and/or handwritten signature of their clients in G-Cloud (Single Government Cloud).
Citizens will have at their disposal the digital files that concern them whenever they need them, after first associating them with the VAT them, so that, if they wish, they can use:
- their photo in their digital transactions with the State and
- their signature exclusively during the process of issuing and renewing the driver's license.
Η myPhoto service is accessible through gov.gr, as well as directly to the email address myPhoto.gov.gr. The myPhoto service works as follows:
- Initially, the citizen will address a certified photographer, i.e. a professional photographer who has registered the corresponding KAD (Activity Code Number) in her registry AADE, who will receive the photo of the citizen's face and/or handwritten signature.
- The photographer (or their authorized employee) will then log into myPhoto, using their passwords Taxisnet, will upload the digital files to the myPhoto and will register him mobile number and/or email address of the citizen, in order to send him the necessary code corresponding to the records concerning him.
Once he receives the code, the citizen will be able to enter the myPhoto using his codes Taxisnet and see his digital photograph and/or signature. He will then be able to:
- to associate the above digital files with his identifying information, such as the VAT number
- to save the digital files on his computer and
- to authorize electronic applications and services of the Public to use them where necessary, without requiring the presentation of a photograph or the placement of a handwritten signature.

It is clarified that for the authentication of both photographers and citizens in the myPhoto service it is necessary to have a confirmed mobile phone number in National Register of Communications (NRC).
In the first phase of its operation myPhoto, the applications that can automatically connect and retrieve citizens' digital photograph and handwritten signature, once authorized by the citizen, are those related to driver's licenses (renewal, copy due to theft/loss/damage, replacement with a new type). Gradually, myPhoto will be interconnected with other digital services of the Government for which the presentation of a photo is required.
The myPhoto developed by General Secretariats of Digital Governance and Simplification of Public Administration Procedures and Information Systems of the Ministry of Digital Governances, in application of the Joint Ministerial Decision (Government Gazette B '4484 / 24.08.2022) of the Minister of State Kyriakou Pierrakaki and the Deputy Minister of Finance Theodorou Skylakakis.
