Η Google announced a major update of the platform Google Wallet which will turn it into a "destination" for IDs, payment cards, access certificates and more.

Google hopes to use Google Wallet to do more than just copy some of Google Pay's functionality. The application aims to become a secure digital storage for government and commercially issued IDs, school IDs, contactless badges, vaccination records, and even car keys for vehicles that support smartphone-based keyless entry technologies.
According to the company, all data collected on a user's documents will be stored locally on the user's device.
