ΣThe bids for its acquisition are expected to be submitted on October 19 Forthnet with Vodafone - Wind and the Antenna Group preparing its proposals.
Finding a third buyer is considered rather dubious, although as market executives argue, nothing should be taken for granted.
There are many scenarios that have fallen on the table and concern both the proposal for Forthnet to be included in Article 106B of the Bankruptcy Code, and for an agreement between the prospective investors (separation of pay-TV and telephone and internet subscribers).
However, nothing has been finalized yet.
It should be noted that in the first half of 2018 Forthnet managed to improve EBIDTA operating profitability by 11,4% despite the over-taxation that affects the pay-TV and telephony markets and the continuing pressure on disposable income of consumers.
Implementing an operational restructuring program, the listed company's management took a series of decisions aimed at boosting revenues from new markets and activities and restructuring the company's cost model.
According to the financial results, Forthnet increased the revenues from corporate clients by 4,6%, as utilizing its extensive telecommunication infrastructure and the high know-how of its executive potential, it recently achieved important collaborations for the provision of telecommunication services with leading companies such as: Hellenic Petroleum , FAGE, Gas Management Company and Pet City.
